Lot Description
A Victorian silver goblet of typical form, having one monogrammed and three floral embossed oval panels, and raised on a slender knopped stem to a circular foot with conforming floral decoration and beaded rim. Hallmarked Thomas Smily, London 1866. Height measures 6 1/4 inches (15.8 cm), weight 4.23 ozt (131.6 grams).

Condition Report
The goblet displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some dints and bumps are visible, especially around the lower body. Seam or manufacture line clearly visible around the base of the goblet and also some solder repairs. Further small solder repairs around the rim. Further seam lines to the stem. Some flattening to the embossed decoration and beaded rims. The hallmarks are clear and legible, although the date letter is partly worn.
