An Edwardian silver butter shell of classic form and raised on three ball feet, hallmarked Jay, Richard Attenborough & Co (James Charles Jay), Chester 1903, maximum length measuring 5 inches (13 cm). Together with a similar example hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin), Sheffield 1911. Gross weight 4.2 ozt (132 grams). (2).
