Lot Description

A German silver teapot, of quatrefoil form and ornately decorated throughout with birds and various fruits amidst scrolling foliage, having a hinged cover with a fruit and foliate finial and the whole raised on four similarly moulded feet. Impressed 800 to the base alongside the crescent moon and crown mark. Maximum height including finial measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), weight 28.18 ozt (876.4 grams).

The teapot displays some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor surface dints and bumps. Hinged lid appears in working order, however the fixing pin is a little loose. Likely solder repairs to some areas including the tip of the spout and along the base rim, visible to the interior.
