Lot Description
A German Hanau twin-handled dish of lobed oval outline, heavily embossed throughout with fruit motifs and foliage, the moulded branch handles also with fruit and leaf detail. Struck 800 alongside a maker's mark probably for Jean L. Schlingloff (Hanau 1907 - c.1930), and a third mark resembling a bunch of grapes. Maximum length measures 13 1/4 inches (33.5 cm), weight 12.21 ozt (379.7 grams).
