Lot Description
A late Victorian cased set of six silver teaspoons, having hourglass shape stems decorated with bead and foliate scroll motifs, also with a pair of scissor action sugar nips. Hallmarked Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1897 (tongs 1898). Weight 2.78 ozt (86.5 grams).

Condition Report
The set appears in good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slightly heavier wear around the edges and tips of the bowls but they have generally faired well. The scissor action of the nips appears in working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Only part hallmarks to tongs consisting of date letter, lion passant and maker's mark.
