A pair of George III silver shoe buckles, the oval openwork body with borders of crenellated design to the central beading and steel frames. Hallmarked with the maker's mark WE, presumed William Eaton, further lion passant and duty mark only. Length measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Areas of heavier tarnishing. The steel degraded to the surface. There are a few dents to some of the pieces on the crenallated edge. Part hallmarks only present, as per description, these appear clear and legible. No personal engravings.
