A pair of George III silver shoe buckles, the oval form with openwork bead and swag border with steel fixtures. Hallmarked London (presumed), 1792 and the maker's mark WH. Length measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Areas of much heavier scratches. The steel appears degraded. Personal initial engraving to both on the underside.
