Lot Description

A George III silver miniature chamberstick, the plain cylindrical column with removable nozzle and rising from a monogrammed, circular base, missing snuffer. Hallmarked London 1792 with maker's mark 'WS', possibly for William Sharp. Height not including nozzle measures 2 3/4 inches (7 cm), weight 3.17 ozt (98.5 cm).

The chamberstick displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor dints. Possible small solder repairs. The nozzle is a very tight fit but it does have corresponding part hallmarks. The hallmarks are located to the underside of the base and are clear and legible.
