Lot Description

A late George III silver cream jug, having engraved flower head and acanthus leaf decoration with dual circular cartouches, one with engraved initials, below a shaped and reeded rim. Hallmarked I.B., London 1802. Height including handle measures 4 6/8 inches (12 cm), weight 4.3 ozt (133.8 grams).

Overall good to fair condition displaying light rubbing with some loss of definition to decoration and engraving. Foliate engraving probably a later addition to the piece. Few small dints near handle and general signs of minor wear and use. Repairs visible to the bottom join of the handle and on the body of the handle tip. Hallmarks clear and legible.
