A pair of George IV sugar tongs, having shell moulding to stems leading to further detail upon bowls, hallmarked John & Henry Lias, London 1820, length measures 6 inches (15.25 cm). Together with another pair of late Victorian sugar tongs, having scissor action and shell form terminals, Thomas Hayes, Birmingham 1895, length 4 6/8 inches (12 cm), and another similar pair having engraved initials, marked R.M, probably Robert Metham. Gross weight 4.67 ozt (145.1 grams). (3).

Condition Report
All items appear in good condition commensurate with age and use, all displaying light tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. Scissor actions appear in good working order. Hallmarks to George IV example clear and legible, other two examples both heavily worn and rubbed, the last example being only part legible.
