An early Victorian silver 'castle top' snuff box by Nathaniel Mills, the oblong form with banded reeded decoration, floral scroll borders, the hinged lid with applied panel depicting Newstead Abbey and opening to a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1838 with William IV duty mark. Length measuring 3 1/8 inches (8 cm), weight 3.4 ozt (108 grams).

Condition Report
In very good overall condition. Light general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hinge in good working order, lid fits perfectly. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
