An early to mid-19th century complete carved ivory chess set, of red-stained and natural colour, the three-sectional Kings and Queens each having ring turned pedestal raised upon baluster knop, similarly raised knights and rooks, plus two-sectional bishops and pawns, Queens 3" (7.5cm) high, in wooden box with sliding cover. (a/f).
