A 19th century standing Toby jug, modelled as a male wearing blue jacket and tricorn hat, stood upon oval base, 13.75" (35cm) high. Together with a similar Continental example finished in blue and white glaze, 13" (33cm) high. (2).

First displaying general surface wear commensurate with age and use with glaze rough in areas, light crazing and small bump or flaw to tip of hat. Second similar condition, and base does not quite stand flat.
