A small 19th century tortoiseshell trinket box. Modelled as a casket with hinged cover opening to reveal a vacant interior, the whole raised upon four bun feet, 2.25" (6 cm) long.

Having few cracks and splits to tortoiseshell exterior. Hinge with slight damage or distortion and so cover id fairly loose. Interior with wear and apparent burn mark.
