An unusual Victorian carved mahogany desk stand or writing box. Of serpentine form, the hinged cover inset with central stamp box, engraved with a bull's head, within flower-carved border and animal mask purchase, enclosing two glass inkwells and a stamp-box, the bulging body on flared foot, 9.75" x 7" x 4" high, (24.5cm x 18cm x 10cm).
