A 19th century Anglo-Indian coromandel sewing box
South India/Sri Lanka (Ceylon)
Of wavy oblong form, the hinged cover inlaid to the underside with a flowering plant, over a compartmentalised tray with seven marquetry lids and two bobbin reels, on bun feet, 13.5" x 9" x 5.75" high, (34cm x 23cm x 14.5cm).
