American Civil War interest: a collection of handwritten letters in original stamped, franked and wax sealed envelopes, to include one with confederate emblem "THE UNION FOREVER" written from Philadelphia August 25th 1681, the text overlayed horizontally and vertically, plus another from Philadelphia addressed to "Mrs Parry, my dear sister", various dates to 1866,
envelopes addressed to "Mrs Morris Parry, Roslin Cottage, Counter Hill, Deptford, Kent", together with a map 'The Arctic Shores of AMERICA AND PART OF ASIA; Shewing the Tracks & Discoveries of H.M.S. Heda & Griper, from BAFFIN BAY TO MELVILLE ISLAND, [...]", and Public Ledger and Daily Transcript newspaper cutting - Philadelphia, Wednesday, Feb 22, 1865. (Approx 14).
