Lot Description
A set of five late eighteenth/early nineteenth century provincial Scottish silver teaspoons, having tapering and initialled terminals, marked for Robert Keay, Perth 1791-1825. Together with a Scottish silver teaspoon having initialled terminal reverse, marked A G probably for Alexander Gardner, Edinburgh 1763-1798, a pair of late Victorian silver teaspoons having thistle terminals leading to the part twisted stems, A.S, Sheffield 1893 and Edinburgh 1890, two further teaspoons having Celtic decoration, Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1975 and '78, plus another having thistle terminal. Condition Report
Overall items appear in good to fair condition commensurate with age. Scottish set each displaying minor surface scratches and rubbing, marks are slight worn but still clear and legible. Single Scottish spoon with wear, tarnishing and scratching throughout and small area of damage to bowl. Thistle spoons with wear, tarnishing and rubbing. Hallmarks throughout with wear but still legible, excluding last listed thistle spoon.
