Lot Description

An Edwardian silver Warwick vase by Edward Barnard & Sons, having a bead and ovolo moulded rim above lion pelts to the main body and applied with Bacchanalian heads and flambé torches within trailing vine, grape and acanthus leaf borders, having two entwined vine handles, silver-gilt interior and the whole raised on a beaded stem to a circular foot and square base. Hallmarked Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd, London 1907, numbered 183. Height measuring 10 3/4 inches (27.5 cm), weight 115 ozt (3588 grams).

In good overall condition. The lot does display some general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Fine detail to the masks and decoration in very good order with minimum wear. Some discolouration and wear to the interior gilding. No presentation inscriptions. Hallmarks clear and legible.
