Lot Description

A selection of various silver condiments, to include a pair of open salts each of squat form having floral embossing enclosing a vacant oval cartouche, possibly Irish, another pair of open salts of oval and part fluted form, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1888, a late Victorian pierced silver mustard pot having blue glass liner, hallmarked Charles Stuart Harris, London 1891, plus two later casters, a salt and pepper set and a caddy spoon. Gross silver weight 13.52 ozt (420.3 grams).

The pair of squat open salts each displaying heavy wear, rubbing and few small knocks, and one with small hole to cartouche, the marks beneath are heavily worn and only partly visible. Other items are in overall fair condition displaying general wear commensurate with age and use. Cover missing to pepper of salt and pepper set and caddy spoon is heavily tarnished. Hallmarks throughout are clear and legible, excluding pair of squat salts.
