An Aesthetic Period scent bottle, the oval fluted porcelain body with gilt painting of a grasshopper and foliage, with screw detachable silver domed cover, hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1887, registered number 88254, height measuring 8.7 cm. Together with a further porcelain scent bottle of vase form and with associated stopper. (2).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The Aesthetic scent bottle displays some discolouration and wear to the gilt painting, cover a little dented, hallmark somewhat worn. Vase shaped example with some crazing and wear, inner collar chipped, missing stopper.
