Lot Description

A small selection of Victorian and later silver condiments, comprising a small late Victorian caster having vacant shield cartouche within a scrolling foliate band below the domed and pierced cover, hallmarked Birmingham 1895, a small pair of butter shells, Synyer & Beddoes, Birmingham 1897, an Edwardian open salt, Robert Pringle & Sons, Chester 1906, plus a 1920's three-piece set, Mappin & Webb Ltd., Birmingham 1923. Together with a further silver mounted cut glass open salt, a mother-of-pearl handled and silver bladed fruit knife, a silver cigarette holder and a plated mustard spoon. Gross weighable silver 4.61 ozt (143.4 grams).

All items are in overall good to fair condition commensurate with age and use. Victorian caster with general light tarnishing and small knocks to pierced cover. Edwardian open salt with tarnishing and few small dents to lower body. Glass liner are in good condition although some are a tight fit to silver salts. Hallmarks are legible although maker's marks to caster partly worn.
