Lot Description

A Victorian mother-of-pearl inlaid satinwood and rosewood writing slope, having central inlaid mother-of-pearl bird panel and escutcheon within gadrooned and further inlaid border to the fall front cover, opening to reveal a compartmented interior and gilt tooled writing slope above a further concealed compartment, 14" x 11" x 4" high (36cm x 28cm x 4cm).

Exterior in good to fair condition with general light knocks, minor splits and scratches. Writing surface with tears, scratches and heavy wear. Interior cover has been lifted holding the writing surface causing further damage.
