Two early 20th century inlaid mahogany mantel clocks
The first of balloon form, retailed by Gilbert & Sons, Coventry, with white Roman dial (a/f), single-train timepiece movement with lever platform escapement, and waisted case with bat's wing medallion on brass bun feet, 8.25", (21cm) high, the second of stepped break-arched form with chequer stringing, plus a small German wall timepiece. 1. Has crack through dial from VII - III, from X - XII, movement has lever platform escapement, minor dints to case and dark crack to side.
2. Of slightly later date, fading to top and rear.
3. Dial paintwork worn.
