A 19th century French painted alabaster mantel clock.
Japy Freres & Cie, The 3-inch Roman dial within break-arched scene of painted cherubs, the two-train movement striking on a bell, the case surmounted by a pair of gilt metal gryphons over cast mounts, mask centre and flared base with cast paw feet, 14", (35.5cm) high, with ebonised base and glass dome, having 1876 dedication inscription.
