Lot Description

A late 19th century brass-cased carriage clock.
Having a 2-inch cream Arabic chapter ring with brass centre and surround, the single-train timepiece movement with replaced lever platform escapement, the corniche case with dedication inscription dated 1893 beside oval roof glazing, 5.25", (13.5cm) high excluding handle, in travelling box with winder.

Dial - chapter ring is sound, MInor staining to brass surround.
Movement - very shallow within case - may have had a two-train movement previously? Escapement is replaced.
Case - Wear to lacquer, plus damage to one glazed side panel.
Box - missing leather button for push release. Wear to most of box (except sliding glass cover), and handle is missing.
