A mid 20th century electric oak-cased chiming grandmother clock
Smiths ‘Synchronous’ Model 259
The 7.5-inch break-arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes plus half hour divisions framing a matted centre, within mask spandrels and beneath silvered ‘Tempus Fugit’ medallion, the 200/250V mechanism chiming on five gong rods, the break-arched case with sunken spiral columns, fielded panelled trunk and plain base with plinth, 67” (170cm) high.

Originally had a plaque to front door which is now missing and has left two holes and unvarnished wood.
Minor chips around the hood of the clock and surface scratches.
