An early twentieth century silver water or beer jug, the bulbous body above a flared foot and having an engraved family crest to one side depicting a rampant lion, rising to a short cylindrical neck with moulded rim, with zoomorphic terminals to handle. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1913. Height measures 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm), weight 24.78 ozt (770.7 grams).

The jug appears in good overall condition displaying some general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also retailers mark to base for Goldsmith & Company, 112 Regent Street.
