A 1930's cased set of four silver teaspoons, with fluted shell bowls leading to red and black bakerlite card game suit terminals for spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs, hallmarked Marson & Jones, Birmingham 1932, maximum length measures 3 6/8 inches (9.5 cm). Together with a pair of silver novelty sugar tongs modelled as a wishbone, of plain typical form with shaped terminals, hallmarked James Swann & Son, Birmingham 1931, plus a silver vesta case of plain curved form hallmarked Birmingham 1942. Gross weight inclusive of bakerlite 2.1 ozt (65.5 grams). (3).

Condition Report
In fair overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, mark, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The spoon case shuts but doesn't sit fully flush, worn to the bottom and top. Small split to the bakerlite club terminal around the joins. Heavier tarnishing to the exterior bowls of spoons with some loss of definition to the fluting. Maker's mark rubbed but hallmarks still clear and legible. Good pincher movement to the sugar tongs, maker's mark rubbed but all hallmarks clear and legible. The vesta case has no inscriptions or engravings, striker is clean but slighty worn at outer edges. Minor dints and bumps to the case, maker's mark ??&Co partly cut off on inner rim, all other hallmarks worn but legible.
