Lot Description
An Edwardian silver box of horseshoe form, the hinged lid inset with green hardstone borders and shamrock to the centre, and with further engraved shamrock motifs, initialled to the base. Hallmarked Joseph Cook & Son, Birmingham 1901. Maximum length measuring 4.2 cm.

Condition Report
The box displays general wear, surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and general use. The silver is a little tarnished and there are several small dints to the base and around edges. Also some small knocks and dints around the slightly protruding lip of the lid. Hinges appear in good working order. Some minor nibbles and small chips to green inlay, mainly around edges. The hallmarks are located to interior and are clear and legible, also part hallmarks to lid.
