A small late Victorian silver vesta case, having leaf decoration with an initialled lobed cartouche, hallmarked Joseph Gloster, Birmingham 1897, length measures 4 cm. Together with an Edwardian silver match box case decorated with flower-heads framing an initialled cartouche and with a rope twist border, Deakin & Francis, Birmingham 1903, another silver match box case having engraved initials, possibly American, plus another continental example, marked 925. Gross weight 1.61 ozt (50.31 grams).

The lot appears in overall fair condition. The vesta with small knocks and dints to edges. Match box cases each with general wear, tarnishing and slight distortion. Marks to each are legible.
