Lot Description
An Edwardian silver mounted and glass inkwell, the spreading octagonal sided form with reeded borders and cut glass base, the hinged lid opening to reveal a removable glass ink pot. Hallmarked John Grinsell & Sons, London 1904. Maximum length of base measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm).

Condition Report
The inkwell appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. A few very minor dints. Hinged lid in good working order. Small rim chips to glass pot and residues of ink. Some slight rubbing but hallmarks are still clearly legible, also hallmarked to lid and screwed on base.
