A late Victorian silver trinket box, of rectangular form having a hinged cover quartered by floral panels and with a central vacant cartouche, opening to a gilt interior. Hallmarked Horton & Allday, Birmingham 1889. Length measures 3 7/8 inches (9.75 cm), weight 64.5 grams.

The box appears in good overall condition displaying some general wear, light tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. A couple of likely solder repairs around rims. Hinged lid appears in good overall condition. Hallmarks are a little rubbed but still legible.
