An early Victorian silver snuff box, having ribbed edges and a textured panel with a vacant circular cartouche to the hinged cover. Hallmarked Thomas Edwards, London 1837. Length measures 2 4/8 inches (6.25 cm), weight 1.81 ozt (56.35 grams).

The box is in overall fair condition although with heavy rubbing to exterior causing loss of definition to the textured panel and with light tarnishing. The hinge is in good working order and the interior is heavily worn. The maker's marks are partly worn but still legible, other hallmarks clear.
