Lot Description
A pair of Edwardian silver baskets, each of shaped oval form with foliate scroll and floral rim enclosing further chased flowers and leaves and scroll pierced sides to a plain centre. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1901. Maximum length measuring 11 3/4 inches (30 cm), weight 25.58 ozt (795.5 grams).

Condition Report
Both display heavy tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface wear, marks and scratches throughout. Numerous heavier scratches, contact marks and surface nicks are visible to the plain centres and bases. One of the dishes has a small hole in the metal at one end just below a vacant cartouche. A few minor dints but overall the pierced decoration appears okay. Hallmarks to both are clear and legible.
