Lot Description
A Chinese export silver table cigarette box, the rounded rectangular form decorated with serpentine dragons in relief against a stippled background, the hinged lid also monogrammed and with wood lining verso. Stamped maker's marks to base for Zee Sung (Shanghai, circa 1900-1940). Measuring 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm) by 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm), gross weight 8 ozt (249.2 grams).

Condition Report
The box displays general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. A few small knocks and dints, mainly to edges and corners and heavier contact wear around base rim. Loss of detail or definition to some areas of the stippled decoration. Hinges appear in working order, very slight gap remains when in closed position. Maker's marks are clear and legible.
