Lot Description
A turn of the century Chinese export cigarette case, the embossed rectangular form depicting scenes of a swirling dragon amidst clouds and two figures in traditional dress underneath a tree and a further figure leaning out a window, surrounding a vacant shield cartouche, marked 'WS' alongside character mark, possibly attributed to Woshing, Shanghai. Length measures 3 2/8 inches (8.5 cm), weight 2.7 ozt (85 grams).

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Clasp in good working order, the case shuts fully flush. Red stain to the bottom right hand corner below the dragons tail. Marks appear on the clasp bracket, WS clear and legible, character mark is slightly obscured.
