A late Victorian 15ct gold, enamel and gem-set brooch. Of openwork design, the oval-shape amethyst, with black and white enamel border and old-cut diamond and split pearl scalloped surround, together with an old-cut diamond safety brooch. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length 2.7cms. Weight 9.2gms. With fitted case.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Amethyst is a deep medium slightly pinkish purple hue. Very minor abrasions.
