Lot Description
A George III silver composite part coffee service of matched style, comprising coffee pot, twin-handled sugar bowl and a cream jug, the coffee pot with oval pedestal foot rising to a vase shape body and slightly domed hinged lid, with fruit wood handle and finial, the cream and sugar of oval footed form, all with matching decoration of reeded rims, engraved foliate borders and vacant circular cartouche. Coffee pot hallmarked John Emes, London 1799, sugar hallmarked Newcastle, no date letter, maker's mark 'AR' for Ann Robertson (1804-1811), and cream jug hallmarked London, no date letter and maker's mark partly worn. Height of coffee pot to finial measuring 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm), total gross weight 33.8 ozt (1051.5 grams).

Condition Report
All three pieces appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. A few minor surface dints and some wear to the decoration. Hinged lid to coffee pot appears in good working order. Some splits and losses to wood finial. Fixing pins of handle mount are sticking out slightly on one side. Hallmarks to coffee pot and sugar bowl are located to underside of foot and are clear and legible. Hallmarks to cream jug are below rim and are rubbed and partly worn.
