Lot Description
A mid-twentieth century silver mounted dual compartment table cigarette box, the rectangular form with engine-turned decoration throughout and raised on four corner bracket feet, with central handle in between twin sloped and hinged lids, each with raised stylised foliate border and opening to a wood lined interior, one lid reverse with personal presentation engraving. Hallmarked W H Manton Ltd., Birmingham 1951. Measuring 8 inches (20.3 cm) by 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).

Condition Report
The box appears in good overall condition, displaying general tarnishing and some surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. A couple of very slight dints and some minor surface nicks. Hinged lids appear in good working order with one side rising very slightly when in closed position. Slight dint to interior silver rim on one side. Wood lining with some surface marks but generally in good condition. Hallmarks clear and legible including part hallmarks.
