Lot Description
A 1920's silver mounted inkwell of plain capstan form, with circle punched borders and weighted spread base, the hinged lid opening to a removable glass liner (a.f). Hallmarked A & J Zimmerman Ltd., Birmingham 1923. Base diameter measuring 5 5/8 inches (14.2 cm).

Condition Report
The inkwell appears in a tarnished state and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use and a few minor surface nicks/dints. But appears in fairly good overall condition and hinged lid in good working order. Glass liner in poor condition with large pieces broken off. Hallmarks are rubbed but legible.
