Lot Description

A 1940's silver mounted hand mirror and hair brush, each with engine-turned and reeded decoration surrounding a central vacant cartouche, hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1946/47, length of mirror measures 11 1/8 inches (28.5 cm). Together with a further silver mounted hand mirror, heavily embossed with scrolls, birds and masks, hallmarked W I Broadway & Co., Birmingham 1967, plus a pocket watch.

In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The 1940's hand mirror and brush have minor bumps, dents and splits to the edges, significant creases to the stem of the brush, no personal engravings to the cartouches. The pocket watch has a white enamel dial with visible hair line fractures, black Roman numerals and subsidiary second dial, stamped 0.935 alongside Swiss assay marks of three standing bears to the interior, it has a vacant cartouche to the back of the exterior case, Fellows cannot guarantee the working order or accuracy. Hallmarks rubbed but still legible.
