Condition Report
All the spoons display tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some surface nicks, dints and bumps. The bowls of the Hanoverian spoons have some heavier wear and rubbing around the edge and especially the tips, which now appear a little uneven and thinner. Decoration to the heels is also rubbed and flattened with loss of definition. Hallmarks on the single table spoon squashed and illegible. The maker's mark on the pair of table spoons is partly visible 'R:?'. The bowls of dessert spoons have faired better but still with heavier wear to tips and edges. Rubbing and wear to shell terminals and crests with loss of detail. Some rubbing and a little distortion to some of the hallmarks on these spoons but most are clear and legible.
