Condition Report
The goblet appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches. Some tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. Gilding faded and worn to interior of bowl and to foliate stem, which appears quite dull. Possible repair to one of the lily buds on the stem. Clearly legible hallmarks to the underside.
Also impressed to underside 'Number 479 of a limited edition of 750 made by order of the Provost and Chapter of Blackburn to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Cathedral in 1976 and its Consecration in 1977.'
