Lot Description
A Russian silver cream jug, of circular tapered form with Niello decoration, one side depicting floral and foliate motifs surrounding a vacant cartouche, the other with foliate and scroll motifs beneath Cyrillic letters, with high arch scroll handle and raised upon a footed base. Marked with Russian assay marks including the first kokoshnik mark (1896-1908). Height measuring 3 3/8 inches (8.8 cm), weight 4.8 ozt (151.5 grams).
