The claret jug appears in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some tarnishing to the silver mounts. Hinged lid appears in good working order, although it does rise slightly when in the closed position. Seam split starting to appear along the flat top of the handle. A couple of minor dints to handle. Hallmarks a little rubbed but still clearly legible, also part hallmarks to rim of lid. General surface scratches to glass with some heavier contact marks to the underside and a few edge nibbles. Slightly cloudy marks visible to interior base.
