Lot Description

A 1930's silver mounted cigarette box, of square engine-turned and reeded form with vacant corner cartouche, opening to reveal a wood lined interior, hallmarked Charles Perry & Co., Chester 1931, width measures 3 3/8 inches (8.8 cm). Together with a larger silver mounted cigarette box, of rectangular engine-turned form, opening to reveal a wood lined interior, hallmarked E S & Co., Birmingham 1954. (2).

In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both examples are tarnished, the 1930's more so and would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.
