Lot Description
A set of six American silver grapefruit spoons, each of Pembroke pattern with engraved initials to the terminal, marked Sterling, Pat. 1896, maker's mark for Gorham, length measuring 5 5/8 inches (14.5 cm). Together with a mid-Victorian silver butter knife with a carved mother-of-pearl handle, the blade with engraved scrolls, hallmarked London 1864 and a set of six George V silver handled knives, hallmarked Sheffield 1915. Gross weighable silver 2.8 ozt (89 grams).

Condition Report
In overall fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The gilded bowls are quite dull in appearance, each terminal is engraved 'R L'. The ferrule of the butter knife is loose and there is gap exposing the join to the handle, the mother-of-pearl handle is also chipped to the terminal, the tip of the blade is bent and visible signs of splits appearing to the edge. Each ferrule on the knives is marked Rd 592398?. Majority of hallmarks/marks clear and legible.
