Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The pierced dish is further marked 'By Barker Ellis'. The cartouche on the silver box appears to have a worn engraving, minor holes to the embossed decoration, it does not shut fully flush. The napkin rings are each engraved with the initial 'J'. The casters are significantly tarnished with signs of Verdigris, their lids are stuck and do not come off, both are filled with pepper, would benefit from a clean and polish. The butter dish is missing its glass liner. The shaped box is marked with the Dutch lion passant mark and a partly obscured maker's mark. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
