Lot Description

A George III Scottish silver marrow scoop, of traditional form with an engraved crest to the centre. Hallmarked David McDonald, Edinburgh 1816. Length measuring 11 inches (28 cm), weight 1.6 ozt (49.8 grams).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Small visible repair to the heel/bowl of the larger end. Heavier tarnishing to the interior of the bowls. The engraved crest is of a rampant lion. Hallmarks clear and legible.
